Thoughts

To Bert's Family - Please accept our apologies for being slow on the uptake. Mehmet and I are members of Sidcup & Ruxley's Beekeeper's Association. Very sadly we did not meet Bert but we understand he was a longstanding member of our Beekeepers Association and was held in high regard by all who knew him. Our bees live at Kemnal Park Cemetery and they would have been all around you as Bert's service was conducted on Tuesday; their hives are in part of Kemnal's ancient woodland - filled with bluebells in the spring. If you would ever like to meet us at Kemnal Park to visit the bees, or if you can tell us if Bert's memorial is placed at Kemnal Park and where it is, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would like to pay Bert our respects every now and then, if acceptable to you. David Rae (Chair S&R BBKA), has our phone numbers if you would like to contact us. Very best wishes, Ali & Mehmet.

Thank you for setting up this memorial to Bert. We hope that you find it a positive experience developing the site and that it becomes a place of comfort and inspiration for you to visit whenever you want or need to.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
